Local Data Storage
أذان الصلاة: Athan al Salat stores the following data locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. These settings are saved on-device, although location-based features may also send your GPS coordinates to third-party services when needed:
Location: GPS coordinates and city name, cached for prayer time calculation and display
Prayer Settings: Calculation method, athan sounds, notification and iqama preferences
Prayer Cache: 30-day offline prayer time cache
Quran: Bundled Arabic text, translation preferences, cached translations, bookmarks, and font size
App Settings: Language, dark mode, and onboarding status
Purchase Status: Record of in-app purchases
Network Requests
The following is the complete list of network requests the app may make. No direct identifiers such as your name, email address, or device ID are attached to these requests:
Aladhan API (aladhan.com) — Used as a fallback only if offline prayer calculation fails. Sends your GPS coordinates and calculation method to calculate prayer times.
AlQuran Cloud API (alquran.cloud) — Fetches Quran translations on demand when they are not already cached locally. Sends only the chapter number and translation code.
Photon / Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — Used for city search and to resolve your GPS coordinates into a city name for display. No persistent identifier is sent.
DNS check (dns.google) — A standard DNS lookup used in the background to check internet availability before refreshing the prayer cache. No application data is sent.
In-App Purchases
أذان الصلاة: Athan al Salat offers optional in-app purchases processed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive or store any payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple and stored locally on your device.
Third-Party Services
أذان الصلاة: Athan al Salat does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. There is no analytics or advertising SDK. The only external service used for purchases is Apple's StoreKit.
Children's Privacy
أذان الصلاة: Athan al Salat does not knowingly collect account-level personal information from children or adults.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
You can reset location and preferences from the app's Settings screen
